2 little sickies..

So this is how I have spent the past week. Dealing with 2 whining sickies. I think that Claire is just teething very bad, but Ollie has a cold. Then yesterday he started telling me that his ear hurt. I didn't want to rush to the doctor because I tend to do that too early, then we get there and I look like the nutty mama who brings her kids in for no reason. Any who, last night about 9:00 he woke up from his sleep (he very rarely does this) and he was hot and whining about his ear again. I decided that he needed to go to the urgent care. Jabren took him and in fact it is an ear infection. Poor little guy... 

After they got home (around 11:30) Ollie went to bed and slept until the morning. When he woke up I noticed that there was some yellowish-green fluid dripping pouring out of his ear. He said it didn't hurt as bad as yesterday. I freaked out and called his doctors office. The super nice nurse on the phone said that the liquid was because his ear drum had ruptured in the night.

Uhmmm excuse me WHAT?!?

She reassured me that it was normal and it was just the infection leaving the ear. She just told me not to put any drops in his ears, but other than that he should be fine.

I was so happy to hear this! Having a sick kid is soooo stressful to me. I just wish they could be healthy all the time! I know that getting sick is just part of life, but it'd be nice.
